On Sunday I attended the Chictopia10 Conference in Union Square.

I cannot begin to tell you how nervous I was for this event. Meeting new people kind of terrifies me, especially when these people are really really pretty girls who all have successful style blogs.

But when I got to my table, I instantly felt better. All of the people that I sat with were so nice! It was great being able to discuss style blogging with people who actually could relate to what I was talking about. I’ve never met other bloggers before, so this was a really unique experience for me.

(I was tweeting my face off…so exhausting.)

I still cannot express how shocked I was at how NICE all of the other girls were! It was so cool to go up and have a conversation with Tieka, Liz, and Elizabeth, who have all in some way inspired me to start my own blog.

Other key points of the day:

  • All of the panels were wonderful. I loved the fact that nearly every panel was comprised of a CEO, a brand representative, a fashion journalist, and a blogger. It gave such a diverse perspective.
  • Everyone liked my nails.
  • Got an AMAZING outfit picture courtesy of the Modcloth photo booth
  • After the conference, I traipsed around the city for a bit. Went to Forever 21, Diesel, Whole Foods, and got “authentic NYC pizza” somewhere on 14th street.
  • It was also raining.
  • I went into the Marc Jacobs book store to seek refuge from the weather. Did you even know that Marc Jacobs has a book store?! I didn’t.
  • I arrived to the Juicy Couture after party fifteen minutes early. I could tell that the ladies in the store weren’t too pleased with me being there. Oops, oh well.
  • Almost bought a pair of Marc Jacobs rainboots ($40) and a Juicy Couture bracelet ($60). Kind of wish I bought the bracelet, I really miss it.
  • I left the party on the early side, and then went ALL THE WAY BACK HOME.

But before I did, I stopped for one last outfit picture in a parking garage..

What a crazy day. I love New York.
