Oh my.
Allen Ginsberg’s poetry is some of the most beautiful stuff I’ve ever read. I’m pretty amazed it’s taken me this long to get into his work, but I am finally there.
I really love his stream-of-consciousness style. I love seeing his imagery in real time. I really love the fact that his poetry is so sensorial. I flip to any page in his collection of poems and I know exactly what he is talking about, because I can feel it.
This is poetry that is pure description. This is all showing and no telling. I wish I had read this stuff before taking creative writing, because I tend to cling very much to the facts and not so much the feeling.
Give him a read sometime, you will either totally understand him or you won’t, it’s okay.
