• Loose leaf green tea descriptions that read: “This tea should be enjoyed with friends while lounging on pillows”
• Exciting emails that make my heart jump
• Knitting and almost finishing my scarf
• NFL players’ jiggly asses
• Observing all of the small details in a football game on tv (the muted expletives coming out of coaches’ mouths, the confetti left on the field from the half-time show, the annoyed people in the stands that are sitting behind someone with a huge handmade sign).. EXCEPT for the game itself.
• Hometown comfort and joy
• The fact that all of the Christmas lights in town will probably stay up til February
• Lazarus, my newly-repaired record player from 1960
• My boyfriend and his superb powers of organization and cleanliness
• Reading Anais Nin’s diary
• Omelets & crepes, savory style.
• The word “drishti” which means “focal point” in Sanskrit
