Me: Dillion! HEYYYY!

Dillion: MELANIE! so, how does joe like his new school?

Me: what? umm..uh…well to be honest, we haven’t talked much. but i think he likes it there. i heard he’s playing lacrosse and football.

Dillion: Wait….lacrosse AND football? why?

Me: well, i don’t really know. i’m just guessing. i know he’s definitely playing football.

Dillion: Why would he be playing lacrosse?

Me: i don’t really know, that was just kind of a guess.

Dillion: that’s not what I heard.

Me: well, again, i haven’t really talked to him in a while, but his birthday’s next weekend so i’ll give him a call.

Dillion: I thought you two were the real deal.

Me: *nervous laugh*
