On Wednesdays, we dress like Florence Welch.

My all-time favorite vintage store ever is back in my life, and It is a downright hazard to my wallet. I’ll never forget years ago after I took the SATs at the high school down the road, in a post-standardized test induced fury the only way to calm my nerves was to immerse myself into the beauty of old things at this store. I reached for a lime green, chiffon-y spectacle from the 1960’s, and soon after found that it fit me too perfectly to ever be denied. (No full length pictures of me in the dress sadly, but know that it is the dress you see in this picture, and it is still known to me as ‘The SAT Dress’.)
Sometimes shopping for vintage clothes is extremely frustrating and it’s like going down an uncomfortable, impractical, ill-fitting rabbit hole. And then sometimes, I find a magical robe/dress garment (like the one you see on me above) and it makes me feel so lovely and rad, that it’s kismet.
